Theatre Style Briefing

Join us for a briefing and discussion about our recently published report –‘The case for a new town in London’, written in partnership with Arup, DP9, Kanda, Volterra and Zack Simons of Landmark Chambers. The report sets out why the Government should put London at the heart of its plans to develop new towns.

London needs at least one new town because of the huge housing need in the capital and locating a new town in London can support the Government’s wider agenda, boosting both its growth mission and housing ambitions by delivering more homes to attract and retain talent to underpin economic growth in London and the UK

The case for a New Town in London will be set out by:

  • Kathryn Firth, Director, Arup;
  • Craig Tabb, Board Director, DP9 Ltd;
  • Karen Alcock, Managing Director, Kanda Consulting;
  • Zack Simons, Planning Barrister, Landmark Chambers; and
  • Ellie Evans, Senior Partner, Volterra.

This will be followed by a panel discussion with:

  • Sowmya Parathasarathy, Director, Arup and member of the Government’s New Towns Taskforce;
  • Joanne Drew, Strategic Director of Housing and Regeneration, Enfield Council;
  • Kate Webb, Head of Housing Strategy, Greater London Authority; and

I do hope you are able to join us on 22nd January for what will be an interesting and informative event.
