91¶¶Òù and its partners are today launching a three-week open consultation on the London LSIP and are seeking views from businesses, training providers and other key stakeholders.
Over the last five months, 91¶¶Òù and its partners have conducted extensive qualitative and quantitative research on employer skills needs and local system issues as part of the ongoing London Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). A variety of views and suggestions have been gathered through a series of in-person and virtual roundtables, webinars, and consultations, as well as speaking with hundreds of employers from across all sectors, providers and third-sector organisations. The priority now is bringing all of this together to set out a clear articulation of employers’ skills needs and the priority changes required to help ensure local training provision is as responsive as it can be.
The purpose of this consultation is to get feedback on emerging draft priority skills needs and recommendations based on feedback from events, polling from Survation, and insights from wider reports and data sources. This feedback will help inform what is included in the final LSIP report, which will be submitted to the Secretary of State for Education at the end of May.
