For over two decades, the Building London Planning Awards (BLPA) has celebrated the visionaries behind London’s most impactful projects. 

In partnership with the Mayor of London, the BLPA are uniquely positioned to honour the trailblazers driving innovation across both public and private sectors. From ground breaking sustainability initiatives to forward-thinking community design, this accolade represents the gold standard in planning excellence — a badge worn by those who are redefining what’s possible for our capital city. 

This is your moment to spotlight the projects and people that are reshaping London’s urban landscape. 

What’s new for 2025?  

To celebrate 21 years of the BLPA we’re shining the spotlight on even more of the projects, people and initiatives that are driving change throughout London. We’ve got a lot in store for the BLPA this year, including:  

  • 6 new specialist categories: With 13 categories in total that recognise excellence in areas that matter most to London’s future. 
  • Refreshed criteria: Aligning with London’s evolving priorities to ensure relevance and impact. 
  • Enhanced judging panel: Featuring diverse voices that reflect the richness of London’s communities. 
  • An unrivalled networking experience: the ceremony will bring together the most influential industry leaders and decision makers from across the planning world and offers elevated exposure to all finalists.  

And that’s not all – we’ve improved the entry process, making it easier to submit your entries. We’ve made the entry process more transparent, so you know which category best suits your entry and what the judges will be looking for when they review your submission.
